Graduate Advantage is an Advantage West Midlands funded organisation specialising in the provision of work placements to recently graduated students and undergraduates looking for work experience.
Their experience and skills allow them the to ensure the right students are placed with relevant and challenging positions that will help them to grow and utilise their education for the benefit of themselves and the company they are working for.
As well as work placements, they also provide training for both students and company staff looking to develop their skills further.
Graduate Advantage need to meet or exceed a number of targets set for them by Advantage West Midlands and therefore need a secure and accurate method of not only recording all interactions with students and companies, but also easy ways to measure their effectiveness.
In addition to a back office system that manages all their placements, student and company records, they also require a completely new and refreshed web page to promote their services to both students and prospective employers.
Calloway Green was chosen as the supplier of both systems after completing a lengthy tender and interview process. The selection criteria included ability, experience and technical knowledge and we were able to illustrate our skill in each of these areas.
Part of the process to deliver the solution was an interim system that would enable the organisation to continue working through their busiest period while the final application and website is being created. This had to be delivered before a final specification and to critical deadlines.
Nicola Tuner, Project Manager at Graduate Advantage said:
“Calloway Green has created a system for us for a fraction of the cost of our previous supplier. That system outshines its predecessor in every way: it is intuitive and matches our needs exactly; it incorporates new technology and is very user friendly. It has simplified the processes we use and shaved time off our admin procedures. The development has been incredibly smooth with Andy and his team talking to us the whole way through, daily at some points. Deadlines have been mutually agreed, and timescales have been met. Communication has been terrific and the inevitable problems on a project like this have been solved together. It has truly felt like we have worked as one big team rather than two organisations with different goals.”
The final website goes live in August with the back office system being completed later in the year.
